The Good: Budget is one the most important factors when buying any new technology, the good news is this Acer laptop will not break the bank. It is built on a reliable platform and with proven hardware. The right balance between necessary features and minimal bells and whistles has clearly been struck here. It is functional and affordable. Surf the web, check your email, listen to music, update your iphone or itunes, watch YouTube in high definition (1080p) and 5ghz wifi make for a well rounded package. Throw in Microsoft Office and you have a superb laptop for homework and research. A spacious 1tb hard drive allows for saving and back up of all documents, pictures, videos and important files.
The Bad: Although the hard drive is quite large, it is only 5400rpm. This means it will take a little longer to read and write your files. The processor is also the base model 7th generation i3 not the fastest of the bunch. On the plus side is the battery life, at around ~10 hours of casual usage.
