The Good: Budget is one the most important factors when buying any new technology, the good news is this Acer laptop will not break the bank only at $349.99. It is built on a reliable platform and with proven hardware. The right balance between necessary features and minimal bells and whistles has clearly been struck here. It is functional and affordable. Surf the web, check your email, listen to music, update your iphone or itunes, watch YouTube in high definition (1080p) and 5ghz wifi make for a well rounded package. Throw in Microsoft Office and you have a superb laptop for homework and research. A spacious 1tb hard drive allows for saving and back up of all documents, pictures, videos and important files.
The Bad: Although the hard drive is quite large, it is only 5400rpm. This means it will take a little longer to read and write your files. The processor is also the base model 7th generation i3 not the fastest of the bunch. On the plus side is the battery life, at around ~10 hours of casual usage.
Conclusion: This laptop gets our seal of approval. It meets the three most important criteria in our opinion. It has a great price, it has the features needed for average daily use and it is reliable. Recommended for for casual home usage. It can also be used for doing home work, writing papers and doing research.
This laptop has a lot of bang for its buck. When compared to more pricey laptops in its class, it is clearly the best choice. It is ranked #1 for us because of its wide range of uses other than the obvious. It has a usb 3.1 port which will allow for the fast transfer of data with a compatible device. Bluetooth 4.1 which will allow you to stream your music to your Bluetooth enabled headset or speaker. The fast 802.11ac WI-FI is class leading, meaning that on a compatible network there will be no buffering of videos on YouTube, Netflix, Hulu or any other streaming sites. To top it off there is a full HDCP supported HDMI port on the laptop, this allows you to directly connect the laptop to your High Definition Television or Computer Monitor to expand its display for even more functionality.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab E 9 offers easy use, performance and affordability. It comes in under $200. Its simplicity allows easy usage by a three year old; power button, volume rocker, home button and two soft buttons (back and recent apps). The 10 point multi-touch screen offers an immediate response. The tablet’s optimization and constantly upgrading Android operating platform allows for above average performance.
The tablet was originally purchased as a mobile office; take notes, update documents, access cloud storage and a communication device. However constant usage by kids prompted the use of parental controls, which made for the discovery of Samsung’s Kids mode.
Samsung kid’s mode is a completely new user interface designed specifically for children. It has built in apps that are highly educational yet entertaining for children. The depth of kid’s mode is not just that it has ‘cute’ stuff; it provides parents a superior level of control of the content that is accessible. It provides app availability selection, it limits app store access (so the kids can't click and accidentally buy apps that pop on their games), it also limits access to tablet functions i.e. Wi-Fi, bluetooth etc. If you have children this app is an absolute must have.
